Embark on a number of excursions
From visits to local schools and wrestling matches through to crocodile pools and bird watching mornings, our collection of excursions has grown over the years to include all manner of wonderful opportunities suitable for single travellers.
There are home cooking courses and lazy day cruises which will give you the chance to meet other holidaymakers should you wish, or if you want to keep to yourself, you can rent a private land rover and guide to explore wherever you wish.

Places to stay for solo travellers
Within our holiday programme, there's no limitation on where you can stay as a single traveller; however, we have a few hotels that are ideally suited to single-person holidays.
If you'd rather go self-catering and head out to all the fantastic value restaurants on your singles holiday, Bungalow Beach is ideal. You can also stay in a single room, meaning there's no single supplement to pay during your stay!
Set along Kotu's wonderful stretch of sandy beach, and with a private pool and mini market on-site, it's the ideal spot to get away from it all and soak up the sunshine.
During the evening, a short taxi ride will take you to Kololi, where there's a variety of bars and restaurants serving up everything from Italian to Lebanese specialities.

For a singles holiday with a little more buzz, Kombo Beach is a wonderful choice – one of our most popular hotels.
Along the sands of Kotu Beach and next door to a little craft market, this friendly hotel has various games and sandy sports like beach volleyball on offer, as well as a good-sized pool and great dining facilities.
Unlike African Village and Bungalow Beach, Kombo Beach does not offer single rooms.

One of the liveliest hotels in The Gambia, perfect for meeting fellow single travellers, Senegambia Hotel is set along Kololi's golden sands and just a stone's throw from the shops, bars and restaurants within the resort.
One of the hotel's best features is its wildlife-filled gardens, where daily vulture feedings are held, closely followed by its two large swimming pools and on-site activities.
