Blog > The Gambia Experience's exclusive hotels

Our growing collection is home to some wonderful hotel packages, which you won't find through any other tour operator on the UK market.

There are many reason to book with us for your next holiday to The Gambia. Not only do we have over 30 years of knowledge and expertise of the best places and best sights to visit, but we also have an ever growing collection of exclusive hotels.

Whilst you may be able to book these hotels via an online travel agent, this exclusivity means we are the only UK tour operator through which you can book these hotel packages, complete with our friendly in-resort team and exceptional customer service, not forgetting return flights and 20kg of luggage, of course! Another important element to this exclusivity is the full ATOL protection we offer, giving you that extra security and peace of mind.

Each exclusive hotel package has been chosen to offer our guests an incredibly memorable holiday experience, whether that's of absolute luxury or a fantastic location. The only question is, which one is perfect for you? Below are just some of the hotels we have in our exclusive portfolio.

Our exclusive hotels

Ngala Lodge

The Gambia | Fajara | Luxury Collection | Boutique

Adult-only Ngala Lodge boasts wonderful views over the Atlantic ocean and offers its guests an attentive yet relaxed service and impressive individuality.

Complete with two swimming pools, one of which is an infinity pool overlooking the sea, and quiet, tropical gardens, it's hard not to fall in love with this beautiful property. Consistently ranking as the number one place to stay in The Gambia, Ngala Lodge promises an unforgettable stay, leaving its guests wanting to return time and time again.

Mandina Lodges

The Gambia | Makasutu | Unique Collection

Located in the heart of Makasatu Forest along the River Gambia, Mandina Lodges is more unique than you could ever imagine.

Accessed by wooden walkways and bridges, the nine beautifully designed lodges are either stilted off the river or floating on it, and boast the ideal setting to escape daily life and connect with the surrounding wildlife.

When you're not relaxing by the free-form pool, explore the forest on foot or the river by canoe with the expert guides, allowing you to learn all about the beautiful setting of this peaceful accommodation.

African Village

The Gambia | Bakau | Classic Collection | 2 Grade

Combining beachfront relaxation with African traditions, African Village enjoys a good reputation with its many loyal guests.

The African-style huts and the surrounding well-kept gardens create a traditional Gambian village ambience and, being close to the bustling fishing village of Bakau, makes this hotel an ideal choice for those seeking a more authentic African experience.

The inviting pool, complete with bar at its centre, is the perfect place to bask in the sunshine!

Fathala Wildlife Reserve

Senegal | Karang | Unique Collection

Hop across the Gambian border into neighbouring Senegal to experience a flavour of Africa's superb wildlife, while staying in luxurious, air-conditioned safari tents.

Look out for rhino, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, warthogs, monkeys, antelope on board a safari truck for a local game drive, before cooling off in Fathala Wildlife Reserve's plunge pool. A magical atmosphere exists by night; gather around the fire pit to watch the wildlife at the nearby watering hole before dining in the traditional thatched restaurant.

Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Project

Kudang | Unique Collection

Meet chimpanzees on your next trip to The Gambia at the Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Project, a fantastic opportunity to observe these animals in their natural habitat.

Open to visitors four days each week, the camp project offers simple safari tents on raised platforms, all of which boast astounding views of the national park. When you're not taking a boat trip around the islands, enjoy freshly prepared food in the Waterhouse below whilst you soak up the sights and sounds of the river, gallery forest, and the main event – the wildlife.

Coco Ocean Resort & Spa

Bijilo | Luxury Collection

Arguably the country's most striking beachfront hotel, Coco Ocean offers a little taste of luxury in The Gambia.

The spa alone is enough reason to stay – adult-only and covering 1,800 square metres, it offers treatments from around the world, including Moroccan Hammans, hot stone massages, body polishes and scrubs and Asian foot massages.

Add to this a three-tiered swimming pool and fantastic stretch of beach, and you have a sophisticated hotel that's made for relaxation.

Lamantin Beach Resort & Spa

Senegal | Saly | Luxury Collection | 5 Grade

Boasting an amazing beach location, Lamantin Beach is easily one of the best hotels Senegal has to offer.

Its excellent accommodation and beautiful surroundings, complete with a large swimming pool and children's pool, really provide the 'wow' factor. Those looking for a good pamper session can truly unwind in the spa's hydrotherapy pool and therapeutic baths and enjoy one of the many beauty and massage treatments on offer.

With its water sports centre and opportunity to try some deep sea fishing trips from the hotel's own marina, Lamantin Beach will leave its guests spoilt for choice on things to do.

The Gambia is not only a fantastic holiday destination, it also has everything from beaches and relaxation to culture and wildlife, and these are just a few of the amazing properties we have in our exclusive portfolio. For more information on the other properties available click here.
