Malick Suso - Winner at Wanderlust World Guide Awards

We are delighted to announce that Malick Suso, our resident bird guide in The Gambia has won at the Wanderlust World Guide Awards!

On Thursday 29th June, Malick Suso was announced as the winner in the Wildlife & Safari category at the Wanderlust World Guide Awards 2023.

Members of The Gambia Experience team, joined together to watch the awards ceremony and cheer Malick on! We are so delighted that Malick won and it is a very well-deserved award, Malick himself appeared on screen to give a few words and share his excitement and achievement with viewers.

Not only did Malick win this prestigious award, but he also received a very moving tribute from Chris Packham and Megan McCubbin. Celebrity wildlife TV presenters, Chris and Megan, enthusiastically explained just how fantastic it is to work with Malick, how his passion shines through in his birding tours, and the positive impact he has had with our customers. We are delighted to see his wonderful efforts and expert knowledge recognised in front of a worldwide audience! 

We want to congratulate Malick on his fabulous achievement, and we cannot wait to see him continuing in his work in The Gambia, from sharing his passions to passing on his knowledge of the many bird species in the country.
