A well-known hotel on the UK market, Holiday Beach Club is located in a prime position, directly on the beach of Kololi. Adjacent to the main hustle and bustle of this popular Gambian resort, and next door to The Kairaba Hotel, this property benefits from easy access to all the local amenities, whilst enjoying a peaceful atmosphere around its tropical gardens.

Affordable comfort

At the centre of the complex is the inviting swimming pool, complete with a poolside bar, sunloungers and daily poolside activities. The beach is also easily accessible from this hotel, featuring a dedicated sunbathing area overlooking the sea – at low tide it is possible to walk for miles along the beautiful coastline. Guests wishing for a slightly more upbeat holiday can take advantage of the daytime activities laid on by the resident animation team, along with evening entertainment, so there certainly is something for everyone here. The rooms at Holiday Beach Club are fairly basic, but comfortable for this grade of property. For a small supplement you can stay in a Garden Room or opt for a Superior Room with separate lounge area.

Located next to the swimming pool is the hotel’s restaurant, offering a continental breakfast, snack menu for lunch and a more extensive menu for dinner. About the Local Area (Kololi)

Kololi is by far the most established resort area. ‘The strip’ as it is known locally, consists of a number of bars and a couple of nightclubs, frequented by both locals and tourists.

There are a large number of places to eat serving a variety of cuisine styles - you can get anything from an excellent curry, a Lebanese dish or a more traditional Gambian meal. There is one casino on the strip, not to mention a whole host of bars and clubs - all of which throb into the early hours, but may be quieter between May and October. The strip also boasts banks and exchange bureaus, cafés and shops. It is generally fairly relaxed in the day and really comes into its own at night.

Beaches

The beach outside the Senegambia, Kairaba, Kololi properties and Holiday Beach Club has a strip of sand plenty wide enough for sunbathing on, with sunbeds and parasols just outside the hotels. At low tide you can walk for miles along the sands.
