Flight Requests & Baggage

If you have flight requests or questions about baggage requirements and hand luggage, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Flight Requests

If you have any special requests for your flight, please ensure they are requested at the time of booking as procedures for flight requests vary from airline to airline and they require as much notice as possible. Whilst we are pleased to pass on your requests to the airline, we cannot guarantee that they will be met. Airlines tend to require at least five days’ notice for any dietary requirements.

Baggage Information

Key security points to remember when travelling from UK Airports:
The maximum size for items of hand luggage is 56cm x 45cm x 25cm per bag, and 55cm x 40cm x 20cm with TUI. Hand luggage should weigh no more than as indicated on your ticket (see below for allowances) and is restricted to only one piece of hand baggage per person, which includes ladies' handbags and laptops.

Where possible, put all liquid items in your hold baggage. This includes water and other drinks, creams, sprays, pastes and gels. Liquids, gels and aerosols are only allowed in individual containers of 100ml. All containers must fit comfortably in one, transparent, re-sealable bag no larger than 20cm x 20cm (e.g. a freezer bag). Requirements can vary slightly depending on the airport.

Baggage Allowance

LGW Economy 20kg hold +10kg hand | Star Class 30kg hold + 10g hand | TUI 20kg hold + 10kg hand

Flexible tickets 30kg hold + hand luggage as above (available from LGW).

Airlines have also become very strict about baggage allowance owing to the high number of requests they receive and will now only consider limited requests from registered charities. If you're carrying more than your allocated amount you'll have to pay an excess baggage charge (typically £15 per extra kilo) at check-in and we cannot guarantee that the airline will accept all your baggage.

If you're unable to carry items in your usual baggage allowance, we recommend you call our after-sales team on 01489 866901 who'll be happy to provide details for sending goods by freight..
