We have put together the following to guide you through the relevant requirements. These can change at short notice from both the Gambian and UK governments so this should only be used as a guide, we recommend you check the FCDO website and have included those links for your ease.
Travelling to The Gambia on a direct flight from the UK
Firstly, please check to ensure you are classed as fully vaccinated.
Vaccinated Passengers
- Proof of vaccination status. You will need to demonstrate your vaccination (COVID-19) status at check-in by showing the digital NHS COVID Pass (for travel abroad) on your mobile device or an NHS COVID Pass letter. Your NHS appointment card from vaccination centres is NOT accepted
- No test before flying
- Rapid Diagnostic Test on arrival in The Gambia
Not Fully Vaccinated / Unvaccinated Passengers
- Negative PCR Covid-19 certificate, taken no more than 72 hours before arrival
- Rapid Diagnostic Test on arrival in The Gambia
Children under the Age of 18 years
- Children under the age of 18 are exempt from providing proof of vaccination and/or a negative PCR certificate, but may be required to submit to a Rapid Diagnostic Test on arrival in The Gambia
Travelling to the UK on a direct flight
For entry to the UK, you are no longer required to take tests or complete a passenger locator form.
