As our main self-catering property in The Gambia, Bungalow Beach offers a comfortable base from which to enjoy the highlights of this destination and its varied cuisine. Set along Kotu’s sandy beach, you can find plenty of places to relax on the golden sands or around the hotel pool.
The apartments at Bungalow Beach are arranged in two-storey blocks surrounded by tranquil gardens, with each including a small kitchenette, fridge and lounge/diner. Some have views towards the ocean, which are available as an upgrade, while a limited number of smaller studios are available for sole occupancy with no single supplement.
Food, entertainment and exploration
There’s a mini-market on-site selling staple supplies, plus a restaurant at the hotel for your convenience. You’ll also enjoy a welcome pack on arrival which includes provisions such as milk, fruit juice, tea/coffee, cheese and jam, and to supplement this there's a daily delivery of fresh bread. If you fancy eating out, Kotu offers a small selection of restaurants and beach bars, however just a short taxi ride will take you to the bustling resort of Kololi.
Although there's a limited activity and entertainment programme at the hotel, guests at Bungalow Beach have a number of daytime and evening activities to choose from without having to stray far. Whether it's the nearby golf course, birdwatching at Kotu Stream or exploring the local craft market, you’ll find plenty to do.
