Some handy information about the British Travel Awards.

We’re delighted to announce that The Gambia Experience has been nominated for
Best Holiday Company to Sub-Saharan Africa’ in the
2016 British Travel Awards!

What are the British Travel Awards (BTAs)?

The BTAs were set up in 2008 in order to recognise the achievements of travel and visitor attraction providers, as voted for by the general public. This year, from 4 July to 30 September, consumers are invited to place votes for their chosen providers, against the categories they are nominated for, and winners are chosen based on the number of votes they have received. The awards night this year will be held on 23 November at Battersea Evolution in Battersea Park, London.

Why get involved?

It’s great to get involved as not only will your vote help to show your appreciation to a travel company you enjoyed holidaying with, but perhaps a more exciting reason is that there are loads of really great prizes on offer for voters. A few examples which we’ve found on the website are: a £1,000 holiday voucher, a weekend break in Rome, mini cruises to a number of locations and even a seven night ‘China Express’ tour!

Where can you vote?

If you would like to vote for us (which we hope you do), you can visit our British Travel Awards page which will give you a direct voting button, or, head direct to the voting registration page which you can find here. On both of these options you will just need to fill out some basic information and voila! You’re all set. Update: Please note, voting for this award has now ended.

If you do decide we’re worthy of your vote, be sure to drop us a tweet to let us know @GambiaXperience

You can keep up to date with the BTA through their Twitter: @BritTravAwrds or visit their website:

Happy voting!
