Independent tour operator, The Gambia Experience launches its November 2014 – October 2015 brochure this month.
With 27 years’ experience, The Gambia Experience is The Gambia destination specialist offering a largely exclusive Luxury and Unique Collection, exclusive Premium Class flying, plus the opportunity to book tailormade holidays.
There are seven new hotels within the new 2014/15 collection, many of which - like most of The Gambia Experience portfolio - lend themselves perfectly to twin or multi-centre trips whereby holidaymakers can combine the best of coast and upriver. The Senegal Experience is once again included within the brochure - presenting the regions of the Sine Saloum Delta and Saly, as well as private tours - which can be booked separately or in conjunction with a Gambia holiday.
New Properties include:
The recently opened White Horse Residence in the small coastal village of Batokunku, just south of Brufut is built in the style of a traditional African Lodge and will appeal to couples looking for a peaceful, romantic holiday. The sunsets here are amongst the best in The Gambia and the vast sandy beach is unspoilt and virtually deserted. Prices from £898pp for 7nts (half board) based on two sharing a standard lodge including flights & transfers.
The Gambia Experience is pleased to announce the return of Coconut Residence to its Luxury Collection, which is now under new ownership. This boutique hotel, with its colonial presence and understated elegance, is set to once again become a customer favourite. Prices from £1047pp for 7nts (bed & breakfast) based on two sharing a junior suite including flights & transfers, with a free upgrade to a deluxe suite if booking by 31 July 2014.
New to the Unique Collection this winter is the 2,000 hectare Fathala Wildlife Reserve, located near the border between The Gambia and Senegal. Staying in luxury safari tents guests can immerse themselves in West Africa past, where animals such as rhino, giraffe, buffalo and giant derby eland all roamed free. Fathala Wildlife Reserve works perfectly as an add-on stay to a Gambia holiday. Prices from £499pp (bed & breakfast) for a 3 night stay excluding flights.
This well-established, simple beachfront hotel in Bijilo has a recognised commitment to sustainable tourism. Its seaside location is complemented by spacious tranquil gardens and its restaurant serves good home-grown food. Prices from £647pp for 7nts (bed & breakfast) based on two sharing a standard room including flights & transfers.
Set in the heart of Tanji Bird Reserve, and bordering the coast, the four newly built lodges housing a total of eight rooms at Tanji Eco-Lodge look out to a deserted beach, blend seamlessly into the landscape, and with their plethora of woodland and savannah birdlife will have a particular allure for birdwatching enthusiasts. Prices from £99pp (bed & breakfast) for a 3 night stay excluding flights.
The award-winning Ngala Lodge, featured exclusively in The Gambia Experience Luxury Collection, is to add six new ’Macondo Suites’, complete with large balconies and sea views and three with private plunge pools, plus an additional infinity pool by November 2014. With a Feefo customer feedback rating of 100%, the increased capacity at this boutique hotel should be well received by The Gambia Experience holidaymakers. Prices from £1055pp for 7nts (bed & breakfast) based on two sharing including flights & transfers.
Springwatch presenter Chris Packham is once again to lead Birdwatching Tours for The Gambia Experience. The confirmed dates for next year are 20, 24 and 27 February 2015 with two tours based in Kotu at the charming Bakotu Hotel and one at Mandina Lodges. With numbers limited this is a great opportunity to share in Chris’ knowledge of wildlife, photography and The Gambia.
The Gambia Experience is pleased to announce that it will once again be able to offer its Premium Class flight service from London Gatwick - Banjul with Monarch now available throughout the forthcoming winter season (Fridays from 7 November 2014 – 17 April 2015). Set to operate aboard an A330 aircraft, the enhanced features of this Premium flying available from £299pp return, an exclusive selling point of The Gambia Experience charter, can be viewed via the above link.
