A big shout out to our amazing Resort Manager, Joyce Stavroulakis, who has been honoured by The Gambia Hotel Association for her longstanding and valuable input to The Gambia's tourism industry.
Presenting Joyce with a trophy at an award ceremony held in the popular beach resort of Kotu, the Association’s Chairman, Mr Francis Njie, praised Joyce for her outstanding contribution in bringing Destination Gambia continuous positive recognition, and thanked her for valuable input to the development and expansion of The Gambia’s hotels and tourism.

This is a timely honour as Joyce hangs up her mantel as The Gambia Experience resort manager. Having been with us for over 23 years, dealing with the many challenges that are thrown at us with great dedication and a level head, Joyce has become a well-known and highly respected figure within The Gambia.
Karen Durham, The Gambia Experience product manager, said:
‘Joyce thoroughly deserves this recognition. I have worked with her for many years and couldn’t wish for a more reliable and knowledgeable contact in The Gambia. Naturally, she is highly thought of by our many repeat customers, as well as the hoteliers who have presented her with this award. As Joyce is now moving back to the UK we are sorry to see her go, but all wish her well.’
GHA Chairman, Mr Njie said: “To most of us hoteliers, Joyce is not just a colleague but a lifelong friend.”
Well said, and we wish her all the very best from all the staff here in the UK.
