It's Christmas jumper day in the office...
The Christmas spirit has been building in the Gambia Experience office over the last couple of weeks, culminating today in a collection of wacky, striking, plain outrageous but always festive, Christmas jumpers. Amid our smattering of mistletoe, Christmas trees, tinsel and dodging-looking ornaments, the team at The Gambia Experience got into the festive spirit by taking part in the national Christmas Jumper Day (Friday 18th).
While giggles and gasps have been aplenty, it is important to acknowledge the reason for walking into the office dressed in some of the world’s ugliest jumpers. The Christmas Jumper Day acts in association with the Text Santa campaign, raising money for three fantastic charities. By texting ‘SANTA5’ for a £5 donation or ‘SANTA10’ for a £10 donation to 70760, your money will be split between Macmillan Cancer Support, Make-A-Wish UK and Save the Children. If you prefer, you can also donate online.
We hope a few of you may have got into the spirit during your holiday today out in The Gambia, even if it is sun-filled weather you’re experiencing! Just turn the air-con up in your hotel room, pop on your jumper and take part in a fantastically-festive Christmas initiative.
Here are some pictures from our office today – if you’d like to learn more about our charitable projects in The Gambia, take a look at our Charity and Volunteering page.
