African Princess Beach Hotel is a contemporary beachfront hotel in South Kotu, The Gambia, with modern rooms, eight free-form pools and direct access to a sandy Atlantic beach. Ground-floor swim-up rooms open straight onto the water from a private terrace, while first-floor rooms offer side sea views.
With a minimum guest age of 12, stylish design and a selection of local restaurants within walking distance, it is particularly well suited to couples and older families looking for a relaxed, modern base near Kotu.
All guest rooms are spacious and offer a range of modern facilities, as you would expect from a quality hotel, and all enjoy a side sea view from the balcony or terrace. A buffet will be on offer for both breakfast and dinner (subject to minimum numbers), with an à la carte menu also available. However we also recommend exploring the dining options in the vicinity.
Entertainment will take place in a central area near the main pool, with a variety of evening shows as well as some daytime activities, plus there is a padel court on site. However, with no children under 12 allowed, the hotel remains relatively tranquil during the day, allowing you to soak up the African sun, whether by the pool or on the sandy beach right outside the hotel. As the sun sets, guests can enjoy a beer or cocktail on the terrace overlooking the beach.
