Kuntaur

Kuntaur, 150km inland, is the last place upriver on the River Gambia to which ocean going vessels can navigate.

The Gambia’s main export is groundnuts and Kuntaur is one of the main outlets for this crop. As such it is a thriving port with a bustling market and is a slice of true Gambian life.
