Serenity Holidays Ltd (owner of The Gambia Experience) was delighted to receive the accolade of Runner Up ‘Business of the Year 2008’ in The News Business Excellence Awards, as announced at Portsmouth Guildhall last Thursday evening (24 January).

The Business Excellence Awards, attributed by The Portsmouth Evening News, celebrate the best of the region’s companies, organisations or businessmen and women.

Twelve Serenity staff members represented the company at this black tie event, where the tour operator was one of eight businesses highlighted in an impressive shortlist.
Approximately 550 guests attended, with England Football legend Sir Geoff Hurst giving the after dinner speech, while local television presenter Sally Taylor compered the evening.

Serenity Holidays director, Chris Ayling, who headed the Serenity table commented:
