Serenity Holidays wins Travel Company of the Year

Specialist tour operator Serenity Holidays Ltd is pleased to announce that it was awarded Travel Company of the Year 2007 at the Travel Trade Gazette (TTG) Awards in London last night.

Serenity Holidays Ltd is the parent company of The Gambia Experience, The Cape Verde Experience, Corsican Places, Turkish Places and Great Escapes.

The TTG Awards are highly regarded within the travel industry and Serenity Holidays Ltd was delighted to supersede excellent competition to win Travel Company of the Year – under 100,000 passengers.
It was also a great coup for the company that The Gambia Experience made the shortlisted five companies in the category of Specialist Operator.

After Serenity Holidays Ltd submitted an initial application, the voting process was comprised of different stages – travel agents selected those companies that they hold in high regard and enjoy working with, and an expert panel consisting of top travel industry executives and journalists made the final decision on who they believed deserved to triumph this year.

Serenity Holidays Ltd managing director, Chris Rowles, accepted the award at the ceremony, which was hosted by celebrity comedian Rob Brydon. Chris Rowles said:

“We are delighted to have scooped this top award, which gives recognition to all of the travel destinations that we offer. We are already celebrating our 20th year of operation and this really gives us great motivation to build on such success in the future. We would like to thank all of those travel agents who voted for us and it means a great deal to us that travel peers and professionals have given us this accolade.”
