The Gambia Experience is pleased to announce that from this spring it will add the new 5 star Sheraton Gambia Hotel Resort & Spa to its portfolio of accommodation. Located along the southern coastline of The Gambia at Brufut, a small village ten minutes south of Kololi, the hotel will consist of just under 200 rooms, feature large conference facilities and fulfil the high standard expected from the International Sheraton Chain.

In an extension of its Early Booking Offers, The Gambia Experience is offering a discount of 10% per booking for Sheraton Gambia Hotel Resort & Spa reservations made before 28 February 2007, valid for travel dates 1 November – 11 December 2007 (resulting in a saving of up to £107pp).

The Sheraton Gambia Hotel Resort & Spa is situated on an untouched stretch of the Gambian coast, directly on the beach and is surrounded by palm and exotic baobab trees. Banjul city, the capital of The Gambia and closest commercial centre is located 20 minutes east of the hotel and Banjul International Airport is only ten minutes by car.

The Sheraton’s close vicinity to the airport will appeal to those travelling to The Gambia on business, as will the hotel’s 600-square metre ballroom (capacity of up to 800 people for special events) and eight meeting rooms, ideal for accommodating conferences of all sizes. The hotel’s guest rooms also include six Executive Suites and a Presidential Suite, perfect for those who desire even more luxury or space.

To complement its conference facilities, a Spa (due to open in May 07) offering massage and hammam mud & steam treatments, and a Fitness Centre, featuring state of the art equipment are located in the hotel.
