Set amongst colourful, tropical gardens, the Hotel Neptune offers a good standard of accommodation with an excellent reputation for service and quality.
The large suites are arranged throughout the gardens in two-storey bungalows and with their separate lounge and bedroom, and light furnishings, they exude a bright and airy atmosphere. Each suite is well-appointed with air-conditioning, satellite TV, mini bar, and a spacious bathroom.
The Neptune’s restaurant has a reputation for excellent cuisine and guests can sample typical African dishes as well as a delicious European menu. Meals can be taken either in the restaurant or on the terrace overlooking the pool whilst for something a little different you can also enjoy lunch in the pool-side grill or sample one of the themed African evenings which take place in a genuine Mauritanian tent.
The hotel’s impressive fresh water swimming pool is the central meeting point for guests, with the bar and restaurant nearby; at 400m2 in size, the heated pool is the largest in Saly, and with its own jacuzzi and paddling pool, it is perfect for cooling off and for swimming. For those who want to participate in some light exercise, you can play pétanque, badminton and table tennis, or enjoy a proper workout in the fitness room. A well deserved rest can then be taken in the massage and beauty salon, which offer a variety of treatments.
Although not immediately on the beach, the hotel’s own private beach is only a stone’s throw away and you can relax there in comfort on cushioned sun-beds complete with towels and sunshades, whilst waiting staff will serve you with cool drinks. Canoes and surf boards are also freely available for the guests’ use as well as other payable water sports.
Hotel Neptune offers a high standard accommodation, with many guests returning year after year. It will appeal to all ages but in particular to those guests who are looking for a peaceful retreat.
