A well-maintained small property, the Cape Point Hotel is the pride and joy of husband and wife team Ebrima and Awa Bojang who provide a high level of customer service.
Gambian owned and managed, the secret of the success of the Cape Point Hotel is the husband and wife team Ebrima and Awa Bojang who, being proud of their hotel, ensure that everyone is well catered for. They are constantly making improvements to uphold a high level of customer satisfaction; the reception area and the bar area next to the swimming pool have both been renovated as well as ongoing improvements to rooms.
All of the 74 rooms are very well maintained and a good standard for this grade of hotel. Some have views over the small central swimming pool and sun terrace that is the focal point of the hotel. Standard rooms have all been enlarged and have the option to include air-conditioning for a supplement. Continental and cooked breakfasts are served in the poolside bar which also offers food throughout the day and evening.
Just outside the hotel is the lovely large Cape Point beach and the hotel has an area that they maintain with parasols and sun-loungers. In 2007 we increased our grading of the Cape Point to 2½ birds due to the improvements that the hotel had recently made. The quality of rooms here are actually superior to many higher grade properties, however we have not increased the rating further as the hotel offers fairly limited facilities and daytime or evening activities.
Cape Point has become a livelier tourist area with the opening of the larger Sunbeach and Ocean Bay hotels and there is a craft market, supermarket and a couple of bars and restaurants just a few minutes walk from the hotel.
