The Ocean Bay provides a high level of accommodation within beautiful gardens in a beachfront setting. This popular hotel offers extensive facilities and is a great choice for families or couples looking to simply relax and enjoy the Gambian sunshine.
The large swimming pool is the focal point of the hotel and for families there is a shallow area of the pool, a playground and babysitting can be arranged upon request. Darts and table tennis are also available. The hotel is located next to the beautiful Cape Point Beach and maintains an area which is well serviced from the beach bar.
The rooms are furnished in dark wood and provide a high standard of accommodation. They are arranged in two storey buildings throughout the gardens and are equipped with telephone, television with video channel, hairdyer, mini-bar, safe, air-conditioning and balcony or terrace.
Evening entertainment includes live music and African dance troups. Within the hotel there is a choice of two restaurants, one serving buffet style breakfast and dinner and the Ocean Clipper à la carte, which is in an unrivalled position next to the ocean. The first floor terrace offers superb panoramic views and is the perfect place to enjoy evening drinks and appetisers whilst watching the setting sun. Drinks are also available from the elegant lounge, pool bar or beach bar with its own pizza oven.
Immediately outside the hotel, the resort is increasing in popularity with a couple of other hotels, a few bars, small restaurants, shops and a craft market all within easy reach and the popular resort of Kololi is only a 15 minute taxi ride away.
