What We Think
The rooms at the Sunbeach Hotel are arranged in single storey buildings throughout the gardens and are of a good standard with mini-bar, hairdryer, television, telephone, safe, air-conditioning and patio. The large swimming pool and spacious surrounding terraces are the focal point of the hotel that will appeal to couples and families alike.
The beach is one of the main attractions of this hotel and it is a large stretch of sand. The area in front of the hotel is very well maintained, making this the perfect spot for relaxing in the sunshine or for the more energetic, partaking in some beach games. Daytime activities include volleyball and table tennis. For children there is a separate swimming pool and playground whilst for those wishing to find a quiet spot away from the lively pool activities the hotel has a second swimming pool with its own bar.
There are two restaurants, the main restaurant serving buffet breakfast and dinner and the open-air relaxed La Cucina taverna offering Italian, seafood and international cuisine which can be served beside the pool or overlooking the beach. Evening entertainment is provided by visiting artists. Within the Cape Point area there is a supermarket, craft market, the Cape Point and Ocean Bay hotels plus a few restaurants within walking distance.
The Sunbeach is an attractive hotel with extensive facilities for both adults and children making this one of the most popular hotels in The Gambia for families.
