What We Think
The main attractions of the Bungalow Beach Hotel, known as the 'BB', are the enviable position on Kotu Beach and the quiet atmosphere that can be found around the pool and throughout the well-manicured gardens. A peaceful spot for relaxation is not hard to find.
We find that the main appeal for guests is not just the great beachside location but also the tranquil atmosphere around the pool and throughout the grounds - its certainly not had to find a peaceful spot in which to relax.
The accommodation consists of comfortable apartments arranged in two storey buildings surrounded by attractive, neatly tended gardens. Each includes a small kitchenette with two electric rings, refrigerator, lounge/dining area and separate bedroom. Some of the apartments have views towards the ocean, which are available as an upgrade. A limited number of smaller rooms without the separate lounge area and with a single bed are available for sole occupancy without the single supplement. These are located on the first floor.
Breakfast at BB is not served in the restaurant but taken in the apartment by way of a welcome pack which is supplied on arrival and includes provisions such as milk, fruit juice, tea/coffee, eggs, cheese, jam etc. To supplement this there is a daily delivery of fresh bread, plus croissants twice weekly. Although the room facilities allow you to eat in if you wish (there is a mini-market on site), the hotel does have it own restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with an à la carte menu.
With a limited activity and entertainment programme, a choice of restaurants close by, not to mention the craft market or the golf course, clients staying at the Bungalow Beach Hotel have a number of daytime and evening activities to choose from without having to stray too far.
