Money raised at a gala concert in the UK will enable children from the Gambia and Rwanda to take part in a huge cultural project next month.
Longest Story in the World features music, dance and comedy, giving young artists an opportunity to participate in the event alongside famous singers, including soul singer Ola Onabule and Spanish musicians Wind Tellers, the Hertfordshire Mercury reports.
The ten-year project was first created in 2005 by Rhodes Arts Complex chief Andy Graham and aims at promoting cultural identities through the eyes of young people and giving them the opportunity to express their cultural identities through drama, music and dance.
The Longest Story in the World team have already worked with children from various countries such as Romania, Bangladesh, Brazil and Alaska.
The money raised at the event will enable MR Graham to take the project to the Gambia and Rwanda.
People wishing to take part in the event on May 3rd can contact Mr Graham to attend open auditions on April 23rd and 24th.
