Famous reggae band Morgan Heritage has arrived in Gambia this week after touring Senegal.
Reggae enthusiasts welcomed the five music stars at the airport and escorted them to central Banjul where they were set to give several performances.
The events are organised by Bright Star Production in collaboration with Jammeh Foundation for Peace (JFP) and will help raising funds for the organisation.
Ansumana Drammeh, chairperson of the Media and Publicity Sub-committee told the Daily Observer that JFP was solely sponsored by president Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, and that coming up with such an idea was one of the ways that can help strengthen the foundation.
He therefore called on everyone to come out to support this worthy cause.
Morgan Heritage's music is a mixture of Jamaican reggae, New York hip hop, New England pop and California punk rock, all fused together in perfect harmony.
Una, Peter, Roy, Lukes and Mojo Morgan are the children of reggae icon Denroy Morgan who is a pioneer of the Jamaican music industry, as he introduced roots rock reggae to New York City in the 1960s.
