Mr Nyang told the Daily Observer: "Security and confidentiality are paramount in the whole project from day one. We guarantee security totally for our clients."

Customers will be given a four-digit number which they will be free to change at any time.

Mr Nyang also told the Point: "It will change the way you relate to your bank through your mobile phone," adding that this service would impact more on the lives of the people than any other banking product in recent times.
