Gambia is the prefect place for
winter sun,
according to one travel expert.
Richard Greens, travel expert at the Times has said
that the country offers an excellent opportunity to experience good weather over the winter
period.
He highlighted the "exquisitely timed dry season" in Gambia which
runs between November and February as a particular benefit of a last-minute winter holiday
in the country.
Mr Greens explained that there are plenty of options for tourists on
all budgets, with the range of hotels in Gambia ranging from typical beachfront resorts to
boutique hotels and jungle lodges.
"You can easily combine say, four nights at
the beach, with three in the jungle," by choosing to spend a few nights in one of
Gambia's beach resorts and several others on a jungle excursion.
His final words of
advice for those Britons travelling to the country were: "If you trade up to one of
the new boutique or resort style properties, you¹ll get guaranteed sun and excellent
value."
