An internationally-renowned marketing company is launching operations in the Gambia today.
War Room is led by Joko Okupe, who told the Point newspaper the business will bring job opportunities to the Gambia, thereby boosting its economy.
Lamin Manga, the country manager of War Room, said: "Since one of the visions of the national mandate is to turn Gambia into a region hub, War Room as a brand marketing consultancy firm could have come at a better time."
War Room has clients in a huge range of industries, including banking, stock brokering, asset management, insurance, telecommunications, fashion, music and aviation. It is based in Nigeria and has operations in South Africa, USA, Mexico, Spain and Korea.
Gambia's economy is the third fastest-growing in Africa, expanding an estimated 7.1 percent in 2006, compared with 6.9 percent in 2005, according to central bank figures.
The growth was driven by banking, tourism and telecoms and the booming construction industry.
