The Gambia's Banjul Breweries is celebrating 30 years of successful trading.
A grand party will be put on as a 'thank you' to employees, reports The Point, with many dignitaries expected to attend.
Fatou Sinyan Mberegan, Julbrew's financial controller, commented: "On the occasion of its 30 years anniversary, Banjul Breweries is proud to pledge a gift of one million dalais to the people of the Gambia.
"This contribution is to complement government's efforts in key areas including health, education, agriculture and environment and reforestation."
Because Gambia is in the same time zone as the UK, visitors do not have to endure jet lag after the six-hour flight to the capital, Banjul.
Gambia Property Sales recently praised the Gambia as a "world class tourist resort" with its five-star hotels, beautiful beaches and excellent facilities.
Last week, the country's secretary of state for tourism and culture emphasised the Gambia's commitment to "responsible tourism".
