We still feel that it is worthwhile operating our own rating system, based upon standards available in the country and taking into consideration feedback from our customers.
How We Grade Our Hotels
Hotel gradings do vary significantly from country to country and it is not possible to compare our gradings to a corresponding star rating in the UK or Europe. We also do not believe that the official classification system sufficiently considers service levels and the quality of facilities within the properties. We have therefore placed more emphasis on the accuracy of our property descriptions and photographs, and our own rating system based on customer feedback and personal observations and experiences.

Our ratings are illustrated by hibiscus flowers. A flower outline illustrates a midway grade. It should also be noted that service levels and health and safety standards within some hotels are below those in Europe and other more established holiday destinations.
We believe it is essential that we match the right hotel with the right client. Our descriptions show whether a hotel is quiet or lively, fun or tranquil, suitable for couple or families. Our staff will be happy to discuss in more detail which hotels are good for birdwatchers, groups or those with limited mobility or a disability.
