From November to April The Gambia is particularly popular with visitors from the UK and Europe taking advantage of the hot and virtually rain-free climate.

Maximum average temperatures during the ‘winter’ are around 32-33° C  (high 80s F), with an average of 8 –10 hours sunshine per day.

During the winter months you will find the resort areas are in full swing, with hotels generally full and a wide range of restaurants and bars open.  That said, compared to say The Canaries, The Gambia does not feel overcrowded even in peak season.
