Mandina Lodges in The Gambia
1 of 1: Mandina Lodges in The Gambia

Gambia Unique Lodges

Imagine waking up in a four-poster bed in a lodge floating on the river with the sound of The Gambia’s incredible dawn chorus as your alarm clock; or escaping to a secluded eco-retreat on a deserted stretch of beach; perhaps dining under the stars at your riverside lodge; or staying in a small boutique hotel and exploring the local village with your hosts – all this and more is possible with a stay at one of our 'unique' properties.

This exclusive collection of lodges and boutique hotels combines previously featured properties, plus a couple new to our programme. Each offers you relaxed indulgence with very individual service and style, in addition to the opportunity to venture beyond the usual tourist resorts and experience more of this wonderful country, its people and wildlife.

A stay in a unique property offers the chance to truly unwind and to immerse yourself in the local culture. Expect low-key but very personal service, freshly prepared cuisine and whilst the facilities and standard of accommodation don’t quite meet that of our luxury collection, the service and surroundings are nonetheless of a very good quality – just with a more laid-back style.

It is possible to spend the whole duration of your holiday at one of these properties, although it is perhaps as appealing to combine a few days in one of the lodges or boutique hotels with a stay at one of the coastal hotels or even with a trip to neighbouring Senegal.
