Malick Suso Tours
Malick Suso has over 20 years of experience birdwatching in The Gambia and knows the terrain and where to look for the rare species like no other. He's also been described by none other than Chris Packham as one of the very best bird watchers and guides in the whole of The Gambia. High praise indeed!
Since Winter 2010, we have offered 3 day birdwatching tours led by Malick himself; he has taken groups (maximum of 10 people) to a variety of habitats, utilising all his local knowledge to help seek out the rarest and the most colourful species with very positive feedback.

Itinerary Information
In conjunction with Malick we have put together four very interesting tours - each concentrating on different areas and habitats within The Gambia and starting on a Saturday.
17th November, 12th January, 2nd February & 30th March 2013
Over the three days you will visit a variety of habitats. At Kotu stream and the surrounding area you can see a huge variety of waders, plus a number of different kingfishers, and maybe even an elusive bittern. At Brufut Woods, helped out by local community experts you can spot the stunning white-faced scops owl and a true 'lifer' in the long-tailed nightjar. At Tanji sure you'll see all four tern species plus a whole host of other shore species and sea birds. Whilst at the nature reserve at Abuko you can see bee-eaters, African darters and hammerkops and may spot a soaring lanner falcon, riding the rolling levels.
Pricing Information
