Departing from Lamin Lodge, you can relax on board the catamaran as it moves leisurely through the bolongs and out into the River Gambia. There is plenty of space on board to find a quiet spot to sunbathe or cool down in the shade, with the opportunity to look out for birds and even the occasional pod of dolphins if you’re lucky. Refreshments are available to purchase from the catamaran bar.

After a couple of hours, you will disembark at Sitanunku Lodge; situated on the north bank of the River Gambia, this new lodge sits in a tranquil, idyllic location and enjoys fantastic views over the river and Dog Island. You can relax and unwind by the plunge pool, try a spot of fishing or take one of the kayaks out on to the shallow waters. A waiter served BBQ lunch will be served on the terrace including fresh fish, shrimps, chicken and salads. Refreshments are available to purchase from the bar.

Setting sail late in the afternoon, the catamaran will make its way back to Lamin Lodge so you arrive back at your hotels in time for dinner.

NOTE: Boarding and disembarking from the boat may involve climbing over some uneven surfaces/other boats, so this excursion is only suitable for guests with full mobility. Shoes will need to be removed on board the catamaran. Remember your swimsuits, sunscreen, towels, sunglasses, hats and comfy shoes for exploring Dog Island.
